Two Spiky Tromps.

A Spiky Tromp is a rocky enemy from the Wii game Super Paper Mario. It is a smaller version of the Spiny Tromp. Spiky Tromps were first seen in Chapter 1-4, in the Yold Ruins, where many of them tried to block Mario's path by slowly rolling back and forth, in order to ram the plumber. Although they were rather easy to dodge, they were absolutely invincible. There is an exception, however, if Mario can use Thoreau to cause them to fall into quicksand. In a part of that chapter, they actually helped Mario and his Pixls: by activating a switch, Mario triggered a supposedly lethal trap, which consisted in releasing an enormous number of Spiky Tromps (probably more than 100 of them) so as to crush any intruder. But the enemies were so numerous that they ended up falling down a pit, filling it up, allowing the gang to walk across them and enter a door which was out of reach before.

Spiky Tromps also appear in the mini-game Tilt Island. They fall from the sky onto the island, and they make Mario lose a life when they manage to hit him. However, if the plumber grabs a Flower, he will be able to knock them away with a spinning attack, scoring 2000 points in the process.
