Template:MLinfobox Scaratroopeas are flying Elite Troopeas found only in Joke's End during the events of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. They have the ability to heal other team members; also, when attacking, a Scaratroopea moves much more quickly than a Paratroopea, causing more damage to Mario or Luigi. They show who they are going to attack in the same way as the original Paratroopeas; if they dip a little before rising into the sky, they target Luigi; if not, their target will be Mario. They can also revive party members by shooting water at the ground. They are the strongest members of the Troopea family species.

Trivia

  • "Scaratroopea" comes from a pun on the "para-" prefix used in "Paratroopea" and the word "scare", which means "to frighten", referring to its incredible strength.
  • According to Prima's Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga official guide, this enemy is called "Soaratroopea". This name was likely a typo of the immensely similar "Scaratroopea", but "Soaratroopea" does happen to make sense (as "soar" means "to fly").
  • Unlike their weaker counterparts, their name isn't the same as their wingless versions.
