Raccoon Mario is a form of Mario first seen in Super Mario Bros. 3, which resembles a Tanuki, yet it is spelled "Tanooki" in the game, because the power-up needed to be a raccoon is a Tanooki Suit. The Tanooki Suit is represented by a leaf.
