Pointey
A Pointey extending and shrinking in Yoshi's Island DS

A Pointey[1] is a horsetail-like creature that appears in Yoshi's Island DS. They do not harm Yoshi, though they serve as obstacles as they extend from the ground to block Yoshi's way and bounce him away if he touches one. They can be extremely tall or very short, but each one can be defeated by a single jump, an egg, or Baby Donkey Kong's DK Dash Attack.
