Great Sea is done in a cel-shaded style, made to copy the style used in ''The Wind Waker''. It takes place mainly on a Tetra's Ship, a small boat from ''The Wind Waker'', with sea platforms occasionally appearing. Bombs will occasionally be fired at the boat, damaging players who get hit. The King of Red Lions will also appear as a additional platform. The background features different weather, sunny, rainy and stormy, as well as whirwinds which can catch the ship and take it above it clouds for a short time<ref>[http://uk.media.wii.ign.com/media/748/748545/vids_1.html Movie on IGN showcasing the stage]</ref>.
