Piranha Panic is one of the many Mini-games seen in Mario Superstar Baseball and Mario Super Sluggers. Yoshi hosts this mini-game, and uses his stadium, Yoshi Park, to hold the game. The mini-game must have four-players, with at least one a Human-Player. They then sit in four pipes, with colored Eggs behind them, and three colored Piranha Plants in front of them. However, sometimes one of the Piranha Plants hide away, and another colored Piranha Plant takes its place. The goal is to throw the colored eggs into the correct Piranha Plant, and score the most points through doing so. The colors are:

• Red Egg
• Yellow Egg
• Green Egg
• Blue Egg

If the wrong egg is thrown into a wrong colored Piranha Plant (e.g. Red Egg into Blue Piranha Plant), the Piranha Plant will proceed to spit a Fireball at the player who gave them the wrong egg. The player must duck in order to avoid this. Occasionally, the players may find a Bomb amongst the eggs. If thrown at a Piranha Plant, the player will get three points. If thrown at a rival player, they will lose some points. However, if the bomb is thrown at the player, they must duck to avoid it. Also, every now and then a giant Purple Piranha Plant will replace the other three for a few seconds. He will be able to eat all kinds of eggs, but will spit Fireballs at all players. The player with the most points in the end wins the game. It is also featured in Challenge Mode, where the player is able to challenge three Shy Guys to a game of Piranha Panic. In Mario Super Sluggers, it is the same, but there is no Bombs, the big Purple Piranha Plant is gone, and occasionally, Red Shells can be found, which can KO a Piranha Plant in one hit.
