The Mushroom Tourney is the first tournament in Mario Hoops 3-on-3. In it includes Mario Stadium, Koopa Beach, Peach Field and Sunset Beach. Most of the stages have few gimmicks, suited for beginners. Sunset Beach is unlocked when Koopa Beach is played in exhibition in between 4 PM and 6 PM, according to the DS's internal clock. When this tournament is completed, the Flower Tourney is unlocked.

- Paratroopa – Complete normal Mushroom Tourney with a bronze prize or higher.
- Peach alternate costume – Complete normal Mushroom Tourney with a silver prize or higher.
