Bots are automated or semi-automated tools that carry out repetitive and mundane tasks. Their edits do not appear on the recent changes page by default.
The Super Mario Wiki currently uses two bots for general maintenance: MarioWiki Bot (talk) and PorpleBot (talk). The account MarioWiki Admins (talk) is also identified as a bot, which uses the staff email address to receive email from users.
