Bots are automated or semi-automated tools that carry out repetitive and mundane tasks. Their edits do not appear on Recent Changes by default.
The Super Mario Wiki currently uses two bots for general maintenance: MarioWiki Bot (talk) and PorpleBot (talk). The account MarioWiki Admins (talk) is also identified as a bot, which uses the staff email address to monitor the Admin Noticeboard.
