MS-DOS (short for Microsoft Disk Operating System) is an operating system produced by Microsoft, which can be found only on Microsoft computers. It is generally used to access one's computer files via operative syntax programming. MS-DOS was popular in the 1980's, acting as a primary operating system for businesses and personal computers. MS-DOS also has the ability to run programs.

The only Mario games specifically developed for and playable via MS-DOS are the original releases of Mario is Missing! and Mario Teaches Typing, both edutainment games. Template:Consoles
