List of Super Mario World (television series) songs

The following is a list of the various songs featured in the Super Mario World animated series. In all, there are fourteen songs, one for each episode plus the theme song. Each episode's song corresponds to the theme of the episode. For example: In "The Yoshi Shuffle", the theme for the episode is football so the song that corresponds to that episode is Fight to the Finish.

Theme Song

This is the opening theme to the animated series. The lyrics and melody of the theme song were written by Mark Mothersbaugh. An instrumental version is used at the end of all of the episodes.

Kootie Pie Rap

In the episode "Fire Sale", Kootie Pie Rap is the song sung by Mama Fireplant after she is captured and imprisoned by Kootie Pie Koopa in the Koopaling's Ice Palace.

Motor City, Here We Come

In the episode "The Wheel Thing", while Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and the cavepeople try to stop Bowser and Kooky Von Koopa from rampaging through Dome City in the Mega Mechanasaur, the 50's style song Motor City, Here We Come is played. (Note: This is the only song from the Super Mario World TV series to have its instrumental used to dub over cover songs in re-airings of The Super Mario Bros. The Greatest Show in the World

In "Send in the Clown", while Mario is looking for an item to aid his friends, who have been captured by Bowser and Big Mouth Koopa, he rushes through Neon Castle. While he is being chased by dozens of enemies, The Greatest Show In The World plays in the background.

In "Ghosts 'R' Us", Yoshi, while searching Wizardheimer's Haunted House for the captured Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool and Oogtar, is chased by a gang of ghosts consisting of a Big Boo and several Boos while the song Theres A Wizard, Here Tonight plays.

While rushing through Neon Castle searching for Oogtar in "The Night Before Cave Christmas", Mario and Yoshi evade dozens of enemies, all the while Rockin' With The Sleighbells plays in the background. It is sung to the tune of the song "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree".

In "Party Line", while the cave-people are distracted by their new phones, Mario is forced to defend Dome City from the T-Rex, while Listen to the Grapevine plays. The song's title and chorus are based on that of the 60s song "I Heard It Through the Grapevine".

In "Gopher Bash", after successfully stealing all the food of the cave-people, Cheatsy Koopa begins to sing a self-praising song called Cheatsy's Life, with his Monty Mole minions singing backup.

Rockin' the High School

In the episode "A Little Learning", after Hip and Hop Koopa's volcano project in the science fair for school goes out of control, the lava flow from it threatens to destroy Dome City. To make matters worse, a giant Piranha Plant has begun to go on a rampage to the beat of Rockin' the High School.
