Lava or Leave 'Em

Not to be confused with Love 'Em and Leave 'Em.

Template:Minigame-infobox Lava or Leave 'Em is a 4-Player minigame found in Mario Party 8. Its name is a pun on the phrase "Love or Leave 'Em".

Introduction

The players are walking through a field when a volcano in the background erupts. It moves quickly, and to avoid being burnt, the players jump onto a nearby rock, which is soon being pushed by the lava. A Podoboo gets on the rock, and the game starts.

Gameplay

The player uses to run around, and to jump. The players must avoid the Pobodoo moving around on the rock. As the minigame progresses, the Pobodoo splits into two smaller Pobodoos, which likewise split later. To win, a player must avoid being hit by the Pobodoo or falling off the rock, either until time runs out, or until all of the other players have been eliminated.

Ending

The remaining players are seen on the now burnt field, doing their victory dance, with the losing players nowhere to be seen.

• Rules – "Survive 30 seconds among the Lava Bubbles as more break off from the main fireball."
• Hint – "If you fall off the platform, you'll be eliminated. That lava is hot stuff!"
