Template:Event-infobox The Javelin Throw is an event in the game Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, where the contestant must run up as fast as they can to the line while carrying a Javelin, and then throw it as far as possible into the landing area. More points are earned the further the player throws the Javelin. Three attempts are given for the event.

Controls

When the sign says GO, alternatively shake the Wii remote and Nunchuck as fast as possible to build up speed. When nearing the Foul line, gently move the Wii remote forwards, not too fast, not to slow. Be warned, if the player crosses the Foul line at any time during the event, they get a foul (Warning: The player keeps running for a bit after throwing the Javelin, throw from well behind the line).

Missions

DS Version

Amy

Amy's first mission in the DS version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is Javelin Throw. To win this mission Amy must throw the javelin very hard so that the javelin lands in a length in between seventy and eighty-five meters and she only has one try to do it.

Blaze

Blaze's second mission in the DS version is Javelin throw. To win this mission Blaze must throw the Javelin three times but she has to throw it further than the last time each time. She must throw it softly the first time, regularly the second time and finally throw it as hard as she can the third time.
