The Dog Catcher was, as his name would imply, a dog catcher and antagonist from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Life's Ruff".

After a dinner party is crashed by King Windbag and Luigi, who have been turned into dogs, the Dog Catcher is called to capture the two. Chasing the two through a hotel resort, the Dog Catcher managed to successfully capture King Windbag and Luigi.

Dumping the two in his van, the Dog Catcher drove-off to the dog-pound. After delivering Luigi and King Windbag to their cell, the Dog Catcher left to sleep in his office. Luigi, with the help of several dogs, managed to sneak through the air-vents of the pound and managed to release all the dogs in the pound, who proceedded to bowl-over the panicking Dog Catcher.

While chasing-down Hip and Hop Koopa in the Kennedy Space Center, King Windbag and Luigi encountered the Dog Catcher again, who was eager for revenge.

Luigi and King Windbag managed to evade the Dog Catcher just long enough to reclaim King Windbags magic scepter. With the scepter, King Windbag managed to transform himself and Luigi back to normal. King Windbag than proceeded to use his wand to put the Dog Catcher to sleep, though not before briefly transforming him into a poodle.
