Fuzzipede

Fuzzipede is a character whose only appearance is in Paper Mario. Fuzzipede is a disgruntled "caterpillar" that hangs out it front of the Toad Towns docks with his pal, Fishmael.

After Mario defeats General Guy and his Shy Guys in Shy Guy's Toy Box during the events of the end of Chapter 4, Mario comes back to Toad Town as usual and decides to go to the docks to get to Lavalava Island to get the fifth Star Spirit, Misstar. Mario sees a Whale having a belly-ache, the Whale begged to Mario to check the Whale's Belly. After that, the Whale opens up his Mouth as Mario gets in the Whale that leads to the Whale's belly. When Mario goes into the Whale's belly, he sees Fuzzipede at the ceiling of the belly; stuck on the Whale's belly walls as the Whale's belly is dark. When Mario sends Watt out, Watt's light bright up the room, seeing Fuzzipede. Fuzzipede starts to jump around the Whale's Belly. Mario forces to fight him to get him out of the Whale's belly.

After Mario defeats Fuzzipede, he mentions that he first tries to get away from Fishmael and gets eaten by the whale. By then, the Whale says that the whale is actually feeling good now that Fuzzipede is out from the Whale's belly walls. So then the water in the Whale's Belly starts to fill up the belly, getting Mario, his partner and Fuzzipede out of the belly as they pop out from the waterhole. Fuzzipede forgives the whale after getting out of the belly as he goes away.

He might be related to the Fuzzies.

Area Tattle

He's a Fuzzipede. What a weird little creature! People use Fuzzipedes as fish bait, but they often manage to cut the line. He's pretty robust for such a little guy.

Trivia

• During the fight against Fuzzipede, Mario can't switch out Watt for another partner, due to the fact that the inside of the Whale's belly will be too dark for Mario and his partner to attack. Because of this, the player cannot get Goombario's battle tattle from this enemy.
