The Dark-Light Device (also simply known as Dark-Light or Dark Light[1]) first appears in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon as an add-on to the Poltergust 5000. When using the Dark-Light Device, Luigi's flashlight instead emits a rainbow-colored light, which allows Luigi to see objects that are hidden in a manner similar to an ultraviolet lamp. After shining the Dark-Light Device on these objects, Luigi needs to vacuum the Spirit Balls that are revealed so that the objects can become visible again. However, the Dark-Light Device has an energy gauge represented by rainbow-colored meter in the top right corner, and if the Dark-Light Device is used for too long, it overheats.
