The Crystal Cup is the second tournament cup in Mario Strikers Charged. Once the player beats the Fire Cup, they move onto the Crystal Cup. It is at a higher difficulty than the Fire Cup, however. During the tournament, the player faces five opponents in the first half of the tournament. The challengers will be randomized, so the player will not know who his next opponent will be. After beating five opponents, the player must challenge the exact same five opponents again. However, none of the challengers, except for the sidekicks, change. Once the player has beaten all five of the opponents again, he/she will move onto the finals. The two finals matches, semifinal and final, are also randomized, and the player will still not know who the opponent will be. However, if the player loses the semi-final or final match, they will get eliminated, and have to start the Crystal Cup all over again. If they win, however, they move onto the Champion. On the players first time at the Crystal Cup, the champion will be Diddy Kong. However, when he is beaten, the Champion will be randomized. The player will have to play a three series game against the Champion on Crystal Canyon. If the player manages to win two out of three of the series, they will win, and move onto the Striker Cup. Upon beating the tournament the first time, Diddy Kong and the Crystal Canyon will be unlocked.
