Crystal (Super Mario Galaxy)

An Item Crystal is an object found exclusively in the game Super Mario Galaxy. It is a three-layer crystal found all over the game. Item Crystals can be opened using Mario's Star Spin move; inside them are items such as Coins, 1-Up Mushrooms, and the occasional Boost Stars. There are also some that Toads are trapped inside of them. Most of these crystals contain star bits of which you can feed to hungry lumas. Some of these crystals contain mushrooms like a 1-up mushroom and a life mushroom. The quantity of star bits obtained will average from 3-10 mostly 4-6.
