A Cloaking Device is an item in the game Perfect Dark. It is also used as a helpful item in Super Smash Bros. Melee. If a player picked it up, it turned him invisible for a short amount of time. He was not completely invisible, however, and sometimes even flashed to regular for a little bit. However, the player might not be able to see himself because of this sometimes. When invisible the player is invincible, but is able to be KO'd.

In the Event Match Slippy's Invention, the player has to defeat Fox and Falco who both have on permanent Cloaking Devices, but can still be damaged. The Cloaking Device used by the pair was invented by Slippy.
Trophy Information
This state-of-the-art camouflage device bends light rays in such a way that players using it appear almost invisible. The device fosters confusion, and players using it will not take damage while cloaked. This does not mean, however, that players become invulnerable, so they can still be sent reeling or flying across the screen, depending on their damage percentages.
