| Chompy is the only Chomp in ''Paper Mario'' that can be battled; during the battle with Tutankoopa, he can summon Chompy to assist him in battle. His only attack is lunging at [[Mario]], dealing three points of damage if not [[guard]]ed. Chompy has higher-than-normal [[defense]], so Mario must use his [[Super Hammer]] or damage-increasing [[badge]]s like the [[Power Jump]] in order to damage him. Chompy is also immune to fire damage from attacks or any items such as the [[Fire Flower]]. After Tutankoopa is defeated, he beckons Chompy to come over to him, though it chases him out of [[Dry Dry Ruins]]. Chompy, along with two other Chomps, finally catch Tutankoopa at the [[Victory parade|ending parade]] of the game.
