Baby Donkey Kong is set to appear in the new game Yoshi's Island 2. Fans are debating whether Baby DK is Cranky Kong or Donkey Kong Jr. (the current Donkey Kong). There is a strong chance that it is Cranky Kong as a baby because Donkey Kong Jr. is a child while Mario is an adult, but in Yoshi's Island 2, Baby DK is a child at the same time that Mario is. IGN says that Baby DK will need to be unlocked before he can be used. He will allow Yoshi to climb vines and pass through heavy bumpers. Additionally, as shown in official artwork, Baby Donkey Kong will have a monogrammed bib, just like the current DK has a monogrammed tie. On the cover, he is shown with a Red Yoshi, so it might be his main one.
