Hammerhead Bros.
The Hammerhead Bros. are two master blacksmiths from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga who both resemble and forge Hammers. The elder brother Sledge is red, while his younger brother Hammer is green, much like Mario and Luigi. They provide the Bros. with Hammers and Hammer upgrades. They argue over little things like which technique is better, which Hammer is better, etc.. Mario and Luigi first encounter them in Hoohoo Village when their progress was impeded by a large rock. Mario and Luigi had to supply them with Hoohoo Blocks to create Hammers. Just before the Mario Bros. enter the Beanbean Overworld, the Hammerhead Bros. arrive just in time to teach them how to use Hammer attacks in battle.
Later, the Mario Bros. progress was once again impeded by a grey colored rock leading to the Teehee Valley. The Mario Bros. were out of options, but after some exploring, they found the Hammerhead Bros.'s new home. The Hammerhead Bros. gladly offered to help them and upgraded their Hammers to Super Hammers. The next time the Mario Bros. met the Hammerhead Bros. was when then need to sail out the the eastern seas. The Mario Bros. met both again to upgrade their Super Hammers to Ultra Hammers to break the dark rock blocking access to the eastern sea.
