For future reference, the SMG Prima guide doesn't seem to mention this enemy at all, while the SMG2 Prima guide, only seems to refer to them as generic Topmen: "Use the Topman to bounce up to this ledge." If necessary, we could do the same thing we did for Lava Bubble (blue), only with "Topman (spring)" or something. Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Alternatively, this could potentially be the true "base" Topman, similar to how the Octo Army has a distinct and odd variation as its "base species". I don't think this is a case like Koopas, where there is no true base species. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 01:48, 16 September 2017 (EDT)
There is evidence in the game files that "Spring Topman" is to be considered the "base" species, as the spawner for this type is just called "BegomanLauncher" (although the object itself is "BegomanSpring"). Encyclopedia Super Mario Bros. does have the Japanese name 「バネベーゴマン」 (128 & 161), so we should either merge this article to the current Topman article (which I honestly don't think needs to exist) or rename it to Bane Bēgoman (preferable to a conjectural title but still not an English name). We can move the current Topman article to "Topman Tribe" and move this one to "Topman," after all, we have an article for the Ready-Bots. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 13:48, 9 December 2017 (EST)
Good call, "Topman Tribe" does check out. As long as the article is reframed so readers don't get the impression "Topman Tribe" is the base species. LinkTheLefty (talk) 13:59, 9 December 2017 (EST)
