Megasparkle Goomba is a giant Goomba appearing as the boss of World 1 in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is a massive Goomba that was formed by fifteen ordinary Goombas and a yellow-eyed Goomba that was corrupted by the Royal Sticker. It guards Goomba's Fortress and the red Royal Sticker. It bears a passing resemblance to the Goomba King, albeit without the mustache.

History

The sixteen Goombas that form it were once normal Goombas until after the explosion of the Sticker Comet, when the red Royal Sticker fell down to the top of Goomba's Fortress. One Goomba grabbed it and became corrupted, sticking the Royal Sticker to its head.

When Mario and Kersti made it to the top of Goomba's Fortress, the corrupted Goomba ordered the other Goombas to attack them. After taking a certain amount of damage, the group of Goombas form together and turn into Megasparkle Goomba.

Eventually, the Goombas tire out. However, the corrupted one becomes infuriated at them. The regular Goombas leave the stage, leaving the corrupted Goomba alone. He is quickly defeated by Mario. This phase can be started immediately by using scissors on the Goombas when they are not combined.

Abilities

The Megasparkle Goomba possess a wide variety of powerful attacks. It can leap high into the air and come crashing down on Mario. Also, it can curl up into a tube, similar to the Tube curse in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Like any ordinary Goomba in Sticker Star, Megasparkle Goomba can fold up into a paper plane standing upright. This makes him unable to be stomped on with normal Jump or Hopslipper stickers. Finally, he can turn around to reveal the ordinary Goombas. Megasparkle Goomba can then send these Goombas, up to three at a time, flying into Mario. All of the Goombas can also jump up separately and crash down as a whole.
