Dark Lakitus are the sinister relatives to Lakitus. Although at first glance they are identical to their cousins, many subtle details separate them. Firstly, their clouds are slightly darker and more brown. Secondly, they have a mean look on their face. Thirdly, they have red shells. Finally, Dark Lakitus throw Sky-Blue Pipes instead of Spiny Eggs.

Dark Lakitus are only encountered in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Of the Dark Lakitus in the game, the only fightable ones are in the Pit of 100 Trials.
