History

Mario Kart 7

Peach under the effect of the Lucky 7 in Mario Kart 7.

The Lucky 7 first debuted in Mario Kart 7. It is one of the items found in the Item Boxes. When used, seven items will appear surrounding the racer's kart by rotating similar to the Triple Green or Red Shells. The racer can then use them one by one when the item is in front of the player[1]. The items that have been confirmed so far are these: a Green Shell, a Red Shell, a Banana, a Mushroom, a Star, a Blooper, and a Bob-omb. By its name, it has been said the Lucky 7 is a very rare item to obtain.

However, the item has a drawback in that if the racer gets a Bob-omb, the Bob-omb will explode if it collides with anything. Additionally, when that happens, the racer loses all of the power-ups that the Lucky 7 offered.[2]
