'''Starborn Valley''' is the place where [[Star Kid]]s, like [[Twink]], are born in the game ''[[Paper Mario]]''. [[Merlon]]'s son, [[Merle]] lives here and, with help from a group of [[Ninji]], raise the Star Kids before they leave for [[Star Haven]]. While [[Mario]] and his partners visit this place, they learn from Merle that the last of the [[Star Spirits]] is being held in the [[Crystal Palace]]. To get to Starborn Valley Mario needs to trek across [[Shiver Snowfield]].

Before the player reaches the valley, [[Monstar]] appears and fights Mario.

* It is unknown if the Star Kids disguised as Monstar are the same ones Mario can talk to in Starborn Valley's houses. Apart from that, certain Star Kids in there do kinda funny things, such as one particular Star Kid that plays hide-and-seek by turning sideways, much like the [[Pixl]] [[Slim]]'s ability in [[''Super Paper Mario'']]. However, after Mario finds that Star Kid (which is not hard) and talks to it, it will become visible again, and will remain like that for the rest of the game.
