'''Village Square''' (formerly named '''Mushroom Village''') is a small river bank village found in ''[[Mario Party]]'' and ''[[Mario Party Superstars]]''. The businesses and residences are run by [[Toad (species)|Toads]] while [[Toad]] navigates the characters around the village.

====Warp Pipe====

This [[Warp Pipe]] is located at the center of Village Square and can be used to access the story mode (Mario Party in ''Mario Party Superstars''). Once entered, Toad (a [[Koopa Troopa]] in ''Mario Party Superstars'') seems to be falling down an endless hole until the player confirms all of their options.

====Mushroom Bank====

The Mushroom Bank is a storage for all the [[Star (Mario Party series)|Star]]s the player has collected as well as the player's [[coin]]s. The player can also choose any items bought from the Mushroom Shop to use in Adventure. [[Bowser]] robs this bank after the player has collected 100 Stars.

====Mushroom Shop====

The Mushroom Shop is a small business operated by the [[Mushroom Shop Clerk]] that the player can buy items from. Once all items are bought, the player will be unable to buy anything else. The many items the player can buy includes the [[Plus Block]], the [[Minus Block]], the [[Speed Block]], the [[Slow Block]], the [[Warp Block]], the [[Mecha Fly Guy]], the [[Coin Box (Mario Party series)|Coin Box]], the [[Casino Box]], and the [[Lucky Box]]. In ''Mario Party Superstars'', it is renamed Toad's Shop and is run by a Yellow Toad. Players can purchase music, stickers, Mario Party Card designs, and encyclopedia articles.

====Option House====

The Option House contains many functions. The player can choose between stereo and mono sound settings, erase their data, and listen to various music in the game. The [[Talking Parrot]] can also be chosen to mimic voices of random characters. The background music is an arrangement of the [[Underground Theme]] from ''[[Super Mario Bros.]]''

====Mini-Game House====

The  Mini-Game House is a small residence where the player can play any [[minigame]]s the player has bought. The player can also play a minigame for 10 coins a piece. The Pot O' Skills can also be used to access the [[Mini-Game Stadium]].

====Mini-Game Island====

The Mini-Game Island can be reached by riding the raft on the river. A total of 50 minigames are played here to test the player's skill.

 

===''Mario Party Superstars''===

 

The Friend House, replacing the Mushroom Bank in ''Mario Party'', serves as the menu for online play and is operated by [[Toadette]]. Players can create or join online rooms when in Online Play mode.

 

The Data House, replacing the Mini-Game House in ''Mario Party'', is a small hut similar to the Mini-Game House and is operated by [[Kamek]]. Players can listen to music, see their achievements and records, read encyclopedia articles and customize their Mario Party Card.

 

Mt. Minigames, replacing Mini-Game Island in ''Mario Party'', is the main minigame location reached via boat operated by a green Toad instead of a raft. As the name suggests, it allows players to play the game's 100 minigames.
