Like other roles beyond the central cast, the voice actors can be figured out logically. Ninja is a male character whose voice actor is clearly of English origin. As such, the choices are narrowed down to Charles Martinet, Nate Bihldorff and Michael-Christopher Koji Fox (Scott Burns is not credited and therefore not a candidate). That said, the only English speaking male characters (other than Bowser) are Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Ninja and Black Mage. | |||
So it boils down to Bihldorff and Koji Fox and Ninja and Black Mage. My only point of reference for Bihldorff is ''Star Fox Assault'' (under Additional Voices) wherein various soldiers of the Cornerian army make up the majority of these unknown roles. Ninja sounds closer to those voices than Black Mage, so there's one reason why I think Bihldorff is Ninja. Another is that Koji Fox, along with Iwahara, are English localizers for Square Enix. Given their lack of involvement in other Mario titles, they are who I most likely consider to be the Black and White Mage, respectively (Mustard is not a candidate for White Mage since she is not credited in Hoops, either). | |||
I have no clue where Bihldorff being Shy Guy and Koopa Troopa are coming from, but they seem to be yet another example of shots in the dark (ex. Isaac Marshall as Donkey Kong and Bowser) that can be remedied through proper research methods.
