|General dot-points I've scribbled in random places about the new article. I'm keen to take on this project. The concept is really interesting, but don't take any of these ideas seriously. Just brainstorming here, and I'm only one person. Anyone who wishes to begin a collaboration on the forum should do it, no questions asked (unless you must ask questions). I actually can't create an account just yet, so I can't organize one myself (which I apologize for).

In order from most important to least important.
Topics (main headings marked with '==')? Imagery is one, anything to do with Mario's reputation could go here. Lawsuits is another, any claims against Nintendo about its systems/Mario would go here.
*Birdo's Gender. I certainly could not find a source that wasn't a forum or this wiki that cited her gender issue as a controversy.
Obviously the Ashley's Song, Mario Party 8 and Tanooki Suit controversies must be included.
*Ashley: Yeah, the citation is dated. This one seems to be the hardest to find official quotes and statements for. Also, the controversial side of the topic is hardly addressed anywhere, it seems to just be 'Oh lol Ashley's song has subliminal messages o_O creepy.' or stuff like that.

**Actually, should I include a link in the external links to the sped up version of the song, or should someone upload an .ogg file of it?
Ashley's Song
*New Super Chick Sisters: Probably why the title includes '''Mario''-related'. Should this actually go in Web references?
*Provides enough detail in the original, however updated references would be appropriate.
*Universal: IS IT ACCURATE?
*Perhaps an .ogg file of the song?
*PETA: The sources are all there. This one was the easiest to get info on. Does it need images?
Mario Party 8
*Mario Party 8: " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " " "
*Screen of the message would be excellent.
*Other lawsuits: Can anyone think of another significant case involving Nintendo?
*'Plagued by difficulties.' The article only lists two.
*Other notes: I had to include a warning in the introduction, but should it have a template instead?
Mario Kills Tanooki
*This one needs citations and quotes from Nintendo. It seems to mainly cover the PETA side of the controversy in detail, but not the backlash from Nintendo 'and their fans'. Perhaps include the full quote from the spokesperson, and Nintendo. A few images would be suitable, but not a full-fledged walk-through of the game. This game could perhaps be mentioned on Glowsquid's proposed article as well.
Other Controversies
*Well, I can only think of the recent PETA/KFC flash game that uses similar game play to the New Super Mario Bros series.
*Birdo's Gender. I wouldn't even know how to begin. There needs to be official statements from Nintendo included, contradictions in her appearances (Captain Rainbow/Super Mario Bros 2) and no opinions or speculation, the entire topic is rife with it.
Lawsuits:
*The DK/King Kong one would be easy to add, I think the 'Shroom did a section about it once. Obviously un-biasing it is important.
*Recently, one has popped up about the 3DS and Sony.
