Cargo trucks also appear in Mario Kart DS, on Shroom Ridge and the returning retro course GCN. Both courses feature two types of trucks, one which is blue and apparently transports fruits, and one for the company Fresh. These new cargo trucks replace the old ones from the original Mushroom Bridge. If a player hits a truck, they will lose their item.
Cargo trucks also appear in Mario Kart DS, on Shroom Ridge, and the returning retro course GCN. Both courses feature two types of trucks which are almost virtually identical to one another, however one has a green cab and transports fruits, and the other has a grey cab for the company Fresh. Though in pre-release versions, the "Fresh Cheep Cheep" advertisements read "Flesh" instead of "Fresh", most likely a translation error. These new cargo trucks replace the old ones from the original Mushroom Bridge and resemble stereotypical North American style Box Vans as they are shown to be smaller than the buses. Both trucks share the same cab but with slightly different designs. The Grey Fresh Truck has 2 headlights and a trapezoid-shaped grill, while the green fruit truck has 4 headlights and a rectangular-shaped grill. Just like the cars and buses, if a player hits them, they will lose their item.
