'''Skiddas''' are purple [[Kremling]]s who appear in ''[[Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!]]'' and ''[[Donkey Kong Land III]]''. They are essentially a purple variant of [[Kobble]]s and are named after their action of skidding across slippery surfaces, more specifically icy ground. They are one of the few Kremlings to not have a letter "K" at the beginning of their name.

In their debut appearance, Skiddas only appear in a few snow levels; they are first encountered in [[Skidda's Row]], as the main and titular enemy, and appear in two later levels: [[Tearaway Toboggan]] and [[Lemguin Lunge]]. Skiddas either slide across the icy ground or across the snow-capped roof of a chalet; in the latter instance, [[Dixie Kong]] and [[Kiddy Kong]] can avoid the Skidda by going beneath the chalet. Like Kobbles, Skiddas are vulnerable to any attack, and the [[Kong]]s can defeat them with one hit.

In [[Dixie Kong's Photo Album]], a photograph of a Skidda appears under the [[Dixie Kong's Photo Album#Kremling Kreeps|Kremling Kreeps]] enemy class.

 

In the [[Game Boy Advance]] version, Skiddas and Kobbles make a whining, high-pitched noise when defeated. They also appear in more levels than Kobbles, who no longer appear in [[Tidal Trouble]].

Skiddas return in ''Donkey Kong Land III'', where they have the same role and behavior as in ''Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!''. Like the previous game, Skiddas appear in three more snow levels: [[Black Ice Blitz]], [[Polar Pitfalls]], and [[Tundra Blunda]].

 

Skidda and Kobble share the exact same sprite when defeated. In the [[Game Boy]] version, Skiddas and Kobbles are the same color because of the [[Game Boy]]'s monochromatic screen. This also occurs in the Japanese [[Game Boy Color]] port, in which both enemies have green sprites.
