He first attacks by running up to either Mario or Luigi and stealing one of the brothers' hammers, and hits them with it afterwards, just like he did in ''Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga''. After striking the defenseless bro he just mugged, he will attempt to do the same to the second bro unless he is hit back with their own hammer. This can be avoided all together if the brother he targets first knocks Popple back as he is winding back his arm. His second attack has him go off-screen and return with a white sack, from which he throws out several objects before him in a row. There will be soccer balls, Mushrooms, Coins, and [[Brick Block]]s. Popple will stand in front of each item, rear back his foot, and kick whatever it is at the Mario Bros. If he faces up, he is aiming for Mario, and facing straight ahead means that he is going for Luigi. The soccer balls must be bashed back with the hammer, but the Coins and Mushrooms can be taken with nothing negative happening. Should Popple kick a Brick Block, he will shatter it open and stub his toe, revealing one of the three other items mentioned inside. The player must take note of what was inside the block as Popple will recover and then quickly kick the item at his target. | ||
