'''Frappe Snowland''' (named '''Frappesuno Land''' on one occasion<ref>''Nintendo Magazine System'' (UK) issue 51, pages 28-29.</ref>) is the second racetrack of the [[Flower Cup]] of ''[[Mario Kart 64]]''. It takes place in a softly snowing region of hills. Its obstacles include many [[Snowman|snowmen]] scattered around the edges of the course. There is also a giant snow statue of [[Mario]] and one of [[Yoshi]]. This course shares its music with [[N64 Sherbet Land|Sherbet Land]].

The course reappears in ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'' as the second course of the [[Banana Cup]], and in several tours in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]''.

==Course layout==

Players start in a snowy road, which immediately makes a ninety degree turn to the right, and then a turn to the left, which then leads players to a row of [[Item Box]]es. Snowmen appear as obstacles in this point that slow players down if run into. Players then pass a Yoshi statue and then make a U-turn to the left, which leads players into a ramp. Failure to cross the ramp leads players into a river of water.

After the ramp, the road stretches and a large group of snowmen, plus a Mario statue reside there. This makes it a little bit tricky to navigate through without slowing down or getting hit by a snowman. After the large group of snowmen, players make a sharp left turn, then a right while avoiding two more snowmen. When players pass the snowmen, they proceed to a straight road, with cliff walls instead of snow to slow them down. If players try to drive up the cliff, they are returned to the track by [[Lakitu]].  

In the cliff area, a bunch of item boxes can be found; they are the last ones before the finish line. Past the item boxes is a U-turn to the left, which leads into a curvier road. The curvier road then makes a right turn, and past the wooden bridge is the finish line where the track repeats itself.  

Frappe Snowland returns in ''[[Mario Kart DS]]'' as the second course of the [[Banana Cup]], and it remains mostly unchanged from its original variant. Frappe Snowland was one of the many courses that were available to play over Wi-Fi.

 

When the player crosses the finish line to begin the next lap, [[Lakitu]] is shown on the left side of the player, holding the lap count signs. The ghost data for this course in Time Trials is 2:08:781, and uses [[Wario]] in the [[Brute]].

Only one [[Mario Kart DS#Missions|mission]] takes place at N64 Frappe Snowland:

Frappe Snowland reappears in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', starting with the [[Ice Tour]], alongside [[SNES Vanilla Lake 1]]. The Mario and Yoshi snowmen now look more lifelike and a glide ramp shortcut was added in behind the glaciers, a wooden bridge is added after the jump before the snowman section, and the starting banner has been changed to a wooden sign with a blue, three-dimensional ''Mario Kart'' logo. Another shortcut has also been added after the Yoshi snowmen, which features several log ramps.
