The '''Leaf Tires''' (written as '''Leaf Tyres''' in Europe and Oceania) are downloadable tire part that is included in the [[Animal Crossing x Mario Kart 8|''Animal Crossing'' × ''Mario Kart 8'']] downloadable content pack for ''[[Mario Kart 8]]''. As the name implies, the tires are emblazoned with an icon of an ''Animal Crossing'' leaf from the ''Animal Crossing'' series. The tire treads also resemble the texture of the grass in the ''Animal Crossing'' games. They are statistically identical to the [[Roller]], [[Azure Roller]], and [[Button (tire)|Button]] tires; they offer a high acceleration boost and a handling boost at the cost of mitigating speed, weight, and traction, but unlike both of the Roller tire sets as well as the Button tires, the Leaf Tires are as large as the [[Standard (tire)|Standard]] tires. CPU Male Villagers will occasionally use these tires when they use the [[Streetle]].

In ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]'', these are unlocked randomly by collecting [[coin]]s. The Leaf Tires have had their stats altered, now only sharing them with the Button tires. They now reduce the water speed, air speed, acceleration, ground handling, water handling, air handling, traction and miniturbo stats to some extent, while the anti-gravity speed stat is improved.
