Lava Lagoon (Donkey Kong Land 2): Difference between revisions

Similar to [[Lockjaw's Locker (Donkey Kong Land 2)|Lockjaw's Locker]], Lava Lagoon takes place in another hold of a crash galleon. As with many levels, Lockjaw's Locker is designed after the [[Lockjaw's Locker (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|eponymous level]] from ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]''. The area is partially submerged in boiling water, and [[Diddy Kong|Diddy]] and [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] cannot safely swim in the water. Many [[Clapper the Seal|Clapper]]s are placed throughout the level, and the [[Kong]]s can jump on them individually for the Clapper to temporarily cool the water. The Kongs must quickly swim to the next area before the water returns to boiling. The hot water is dark while the water itself is transparent. In the water, the Kongs encounter [[Flotsam]]s, [[Lockjaw]]s, and [[Puftup]]s (who first appear in the level). They encounter a few [[Klomp]]s on land.

Lava Lagoon is the first level in the game with two [[Animal Friends]], Clapper and [[Enguarde the Swordfish|Enguarde]]. There are three [[Animal Barrel]]s of Enguarde that appear throughout the level.
