Since the band-aid was never an aesthetic applied to him, it's best to switch his art to display the one without the band-aid so it's more appropriate for his character description.
(I remember that Kooper art being used in the context of Mario also having a band-aid on his nose, I don't think those white bandaids are ever meant to be part of his design, since he lacks them in every other artwork. Removing strategy.)
