History
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Fish Poker Pops carry a wooden pole with a pufferfish on each side. The horns on their helmets protect them from jump attacks. Fish Poker Pops use their pole as a weapon, raising it for a moment and then slamming it on the ground. When it lifts its pole, the Fish Poker Pops is vulnerable to a rolling attack. The Kongs can defeat a Fish Poker Pops by rolling into it three times. The enemy can be also be defeated with a barrel or with three of Cranky Kong's Cane Bounces. Fish Poker Pops appear in the following levels: Spinning Spines, Forest Folly, Frozen Frenzy, Icicle Arsenal, and Rocket Rails.

In the Nintendo Switch version, Funky Kong can use his surfboard to attack a Fish Poker Pops. Unlike other Waldoughs which share the same sounds, Fish Poker Pops have a more aggressive tone in their voices.
Fish Poker Pops protect their heads from normal stomp attacks with a sharp viking helmet, dangerous to land on. After noticing the Kongs, Fish Poker Pops begin to step furiously towards them, carrying a wooden pole with two spiky, bulging fish tucked onto it. This is used as weapon against the Kongs. When a Fish Poker Pops lifts the pole to hit them, he is open to a roll attack to his stomach. The player must repeat this process two more times to defeat a Fish Poker Pops. They can be alternatively attacked using a barrel or Cranky Kong's cane.

Unlike other Waldoughs which share the same sounds, Fish Poker Pops have a more aggressive tone in their voices.
