Question; is it possible that the unused variation of Singapore Speedway is just the normal variant played when in the infinity pool? Despite how shallow it is, sometimes the game does treat it like you're underwater and the music does soften a bit (if that's the descriptive word for it). Now I'm terrible at describing music, but I did comparisons and they sound similar, with the game version having that audio effect for being underwater and the percussion is a bit more noticeable.

- It does sound like a possible underwater variant, now that I think about it. I've only played Singapore Speedway as part of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I could do some testing to see if the thing you described is in the course in MK8 Deluxe. I'll try a Time Trial and see if I can notice it. --
