There seems to be a sort of inconsistency/irrationality to the way the wiki classifies species that are similar to and/or derived from goombas. I find it very strange that beanies and shrooblets are classified as being "variants" of goombas (despite not being chestnut/mushrooms physically and instead being beans & aliens respectively), while galoombas (which were retroactively renamed and deemed distinct and were originally just the goombas of SMW) are considered to be mere "relatives" of goombas. The principle I see cited in most of these discussions pertaining to these fort of classifications (for example rocky wrenches being either koopas or monty moles) is that if an enemy/species is spiritually/conceptually derived from a more established and older one, then the former can be considered to be a variant of the latter. If this were consistently applied, galoombas, strollin' stus, and wanderin' gooms should definitely be considered to be types of goombas.
