In a sketch during the May 8, 2021 episode, [[Wario]] is on trial in a Toad Town court for Mario's murder. Luigi testifies that Mario was killed while [[Mario Kart (series)|"having a friendly race with a go-kart"]] after someone threw a [[Banana]], causing Mario to wipe out. Luigi then accuses Wario (played by guest host [[wikipedia:Elon Musk|Elon Musk]]) of the murder. The defense calls Wario to the stand, and as he is walking there, the theme from [[Wario's Battle Canyon]] plays in the background. Wario then testifies that he is not evil, while his lawyer points out that his "Super Mario Wiki fan page" (actually the Wario Wiki page) is overly defamatory. The article says implies that Wario's only friend is [[Waluigi]], the "evil Luigi." Waluigi, who is sitting in the spectator area of the courtroom and is played by [[wikipedia: Kate McKinnon|Kate McKinnon]], is then shown resenting the negative connotation in the article, preferring to be called "weird Luigi." Wario's lawyer further claims that Wario is unfairly portrayed as a villain, playing the theme song from [[Mario's castle]] (the final stage in ''[[Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins]]'') as evidence. Wario then accuses Mario of eating [[Super Mushroom]]s as recreational drugs and then accuses Luigi of sleeping with [[Princess Peach]] (who is present in the courtroom and played by Elon Musk's partner, [[wikipedia:Grimes (musician)|Grimes]]). When Luigi and Peach both object, Wario's lawyer provides incriminating text messages and a video. Luigi, in anger, gets ready to throw a [[Red Shell]], but New York governor [[wikipedia:Andrew Cuomo|Andrew Cuomo]] steps in to stop the scene, reflecting that he and Wario are two misunderstood Italian Americans. "Please don't believe the horrible stereotypes you see in Mario World. Some of the bad guys are even called [[Goombas]]," Cuomo says. Mario then appears in the courtroom, revealing that although he had died, he still has three lives left. The sketch is revealed to be a PSA from the Italian-American Anti-Defamation League.
