* If there are less than 20 games in which a character is playable that means the character is not playable in many games so far. | |||
* If there are 20 games or more in which the character is playable but the character is playable in less than 10 new games from the last 5 years that means the character is not probably very popular today. | |||
For example, [[Rosalina]] is considered by me as a common playable character despite there are by far fewer games in which she is playable than games in which [[Princess Peach]] is playable because Rosalina is by far newer, but relatively for a character that appeared in the first time in 2007, despite [[Mario Kart Wii]] is the only [[Wii]] game in which Rosalina is playable, Rosalina as a playable character is common today relatively to the time in which she appeared in the first time. While [[Donkey Kong Jr.]] appeared in 15 games so far, and was quite popular in his first 10 years of appearance, but he barely appears in 1 game from the last 10 years.
