The music (need i say?) is an 8 bit remix of Pokémon Battle/Mario Theme. Falling asleep (tune sounds like a move called Sing). "Special Moves" (Signiture moves). :::Things like "[Monster] attacked!" messages, choosing attacks and special moves are commonly found in a lot of RPGs, many of which existed before Pokémon.
