Re:Hide-and-seek Toad
Page 83 states the following under Hide ’N’ Seek: "The little Toad with the blue cap near the Badge shop wants to play a game of hide-and-seek with the Bros. Mario and Luigi are a little pressed for time, what with Fawful theatening the Mushroom Kingdom with the tremendous power of the Dark Star, but they can probably spare a few moments to chase down the child. After all, he’s promising some kind of reward for playing with him: a Small Shell. The Toad tyke has five hiding spots. The heroes must chase him down in these sports in this order:" and then there are captioned screenshots that just show off his hiding spots. == Re: Missing Island Tour music ==
I'm assuming you're talking about tracks missing from most uploads, but are named on this Wiki. If that's the case, I guess people haven't been playing enough StreetPass Minigames. As for how I know them despite living in an area where StreetPasses were ultra-rare even during their height of common-ness? Well, I simply StreetPassed with myself. Which must be done 50 times, by the way. <span style="font-family:Mario Party 2/3 Textbox">RickTommy (talk)</span> 07:00, December 29, 2021 (EST)
RE: Note about in-game music
Thanks for the heads up on Mario Party: Star Rush. I'll be sure to keep in mind this information once I get to uploading media for that game after I finish up with Mario Party Superstars (though it'll probably be a while before I start MPSR).
As for Mario Party: Island Tour, I don't own the game (or any of the Mario Party games), so I'm not actually sure which specific music tracks (if they have names) would be exclusive to StreetPass. 16:06, December 31, 2021 (EST)
RE: Ending theme for Super Mario Bros.
As far as general names go, the only one I can find is its original title, which is "Ending BGM" (エンディングBGM) from soundtracks for SMB and Lost Levels . 07:38, February 24, 2022 (EST)

Hi. Thank you for creating the Switch Lift article. == Birthday card and notebook ==
Don't list yourself as the artist of something just because you scanned or photographed it. That makes it sound like you're claiming to have actually made the card/notebook. Just list in the source that you scanned/photographed it like you did previously. People can see who the uploader is by looking at the file history section, so that info doesn't need to be in the summary box. Unless, you know, you actually did make them yourself. 14:06, August 7, 2022 (EDT)

TGAA2 spoiler comment
Hey there, my bad for not sending a message about this earlier. I redacted your BJAODN comment because another user who was planning on playing the game brought it up to me, saying they scrolled away as fast as possible once they noticed it, but they still absorbed some of it - they weren't expecting to see spoilers there, so completely avoiding them wasn't an option. Please be courteous regarding spoilers for unrelated games, especially for story-driven series where said info is likely not common knowledge/could impact other people's experiences. - Turboo (talk) 18:24, August 19, 2022 (EDT)
:Our spoiler policy not applying to non-mainspace isn't the issue. The issue is that our spoiler policy only pertains to content within the wiki's scope - i.e. Mario content. If someone wanting to play Paper Mario: The Origami King decides to start reading Super Mario Wiki articles on it and gets spoiled, that's their own fault. Stumbling upon Ace Attorney spoilers on a wiki for a completely unrelated franchise where they have no reason to be present is entirely impossible to telegraph, so the "don't read" argument is unreasonable. 23:51, August 19, 2022 (EDT)
Sic
Good evening! sic was for the whole "ramped waterfall of lava", as it's called in the Prima Games guide, not just for clarifying that the pink liquid is lava. I didn't want to come up with a conjectural name for it :)

RE: Daisy Garden
Hey thanks for your message. I think you have misintrupted the proposal that I made back in 2016. I never state anywhere in the propsal that it should only be only major recuring locations. I state in the title of thst proposal that "Split all remaining courts/boards based on recurring places from their parent articles" and again in the desription of the proposal of the "I propose that all these sports courts and party boards are split from their parent article". The use of the word "all" indicates that every single case of a sports court based on recurring location should be split. Also I simply use the term "recuring locations" which indicates that if its based on a recuring location of any kind it is split no matter how major or minor it is. I think when meant "major" you were referring the bit where I said Bowser's Castle and Luigi's Mansion were the biggest offenders and there I was only stating those as examples they were not every example.
Daisy Garden and Koopa Beach are both recurring locations. Daisy Garden is a recurring location based off the fact it has appeared in two games. Yes it was not a recurring location before Mario Sports Mix was released but was it was it became recurring therefore fits the definition of beinf based off a recuring lcoation. Koopa Beach was long a recuring loation before Sports Mix having appeared as as courses in the first two Mario Kart games. Therefore the proposal does actually mandate their split. The reason why i beleived i was able to split them without a discussion was because of the fact that this the proposal meant that policy now explicity stated that those acticles should be split therefore I felt i was allowed to carry out those changes without having to hold any discussions/proposals.
Adressing your points beleving they should be merged, I understand your points regarding Daisy Garden, yes they are very similar to each other but it's not the only court that has shared name between Hoops 3-on-3 and Sports Mix: Mario Stadium Luigi's Mansion, Wario Factory and Bowser's Castle remain split. The fact that have having some courts sharing names split and others merged is incontistent and therefore makes the wiki come arcoss as unprofesstional. In regards to Koopa Beach I am strongly belive that should remain split firstly the different names it is just Koopa Beach in Hoops whilst it's named Koopa Troopa Beach in Sports mix. Secondarily fact they function differently with Hoops 3-on-3 having the Priate Ship as its gimmick and Sports Mix having the waves.
If you beleive that the articles should be merged then I do suggest creating proposal of your own which would of if passed overturn elements of the 2016 proposal I made, changing the policy and allow these articles to merged. If you do choose to make the propsal may i suggest that you propose that all courts from Hoops 3-on-3 and Sports Mix that share their name with each other (ie the ones i mentioned in the paragraph above) to be merged not just Daisy Garden. I will be placing a oppose vote with my reasoning if you do create the proposal because i think they all are better off split but if the community sides with you and agrees that they should be merged then i will be happy with that I very much beleive this wiki should be a democracy.
I'm not going to revert the articles back to their split form right away. I will give you 48 hours to submit a proposal on merging the articles and if you choose to do so I will leave Daisy Garden and Koopa Beach merged for the duration of the proposal. If 48 hours passes from the time I submitted this message and no propsal exists or your happy to have the artciles split then i will re-split the articles.
I look foward to your response. NSY
Pendulum
Hi, Archivist Toadette. It looks like you created the article Pendulum Platform. Do you remember where the name "Pendulum Platform" comes from? Was it used in-game anywhere? Because it is not attested in any of the guides, so I was considering moving it to "Pendulum Lift". - Nintendo101 (talk) 16:38, February 22, 2024 (EST)
Mario vs Donkey Kong
It's a rearrangement. It's trying to sound like the original MVDK but it's a completely redone version (there's even a slight difference in the timing of the triple beats).
For the identifiers, I think they can stay the same since adding the "for Nintendo Switch" part like with Scrapbook (Super Mario RPG for Nintendo Switch) would imply they're exclusive to that version of the game (which isn't the case; they're just renumbered). This would mean that for levels exclusive to the remake (Merry Mini-Land and Slippery Summit), they would get the "for Nintendo Switch" identifier. 22:34, February 24, 2024 (EST)
Portrificationizer
While I'm aware it's vandalism, there's many things on the BJaODN that are vandalism. The main important bit is that it's funny. (This being one of the few cases of vandalism I've seen that actually made me laugh, mainly due to the punnish wording at the end.) ==The wiki's Ruby template makes the rubies unreadable on Chrome==
While I admit that it was news to me 15min ago that an official Ruby template exists, there's just one little problem: When using a default setup of Google Chrome on Windows, with its zoom set to the default 100%, I'd personally say the template's rubies are unreadably small:

So as far as I can tell, the only viable options are to:<br>
A) Edit Template:Ruby as to change the font weighing from 50% to 67% (The lowest I could go in order for Chrome to make the rubies readable.<br>
B) Utilize XHTML.<br>
