not only is the intent behind it irrelevant considering it's the first time in almost 20 years the enemy has been officially acknowledged (and for all we know so far, its unique name was dropped)--but isn't this also basically just a mnemonic descriptor?

Obviously, keeping it basic is just for the purposes of a quick overview, they don't want to school newcomers with potentially overwhelming or confusing info right away.
