I have found out that The Packees are named in the encyclopedia (and also found out that their English name is the same as their Japanese name. Dune Buddy is the one who cares about Dune Buds, and Momy Noki is the one that holds it baby. It certainly isn't Italian, since Italian never uses the letter K except for in loanwords (also, "seashell" in Italian is "conchiglia").
