I don't understand why this page is labelled "Mario Series" when it describes a franchise. The side-scrolling Mario games, Mario Kart, the Mario RPGs, etc. are each clearly different series, even though they share many characters. Aside from the fact that the games are drastically different, they use different numbering systems (the 7 in Mario Kart 7 does not count any games other than Mario Kart games). Changing this would also solve a lot of the problem people mention above about series/sub-series/sub-sub-series distinctions. Um, isn't calling Rosalina one of the main characters a bit much. A main character would be a character who has been around since the Super Nintendo games and be in every game since his/her debut. Rosalina is as new as the Wii ages and only in 3 mainstreem games, not in any 2D side-scrolling games | |||
