Apparently, 1,500 years before the setting time of ''Super Paper Mario'', the land's queen Squirpina XIV existed as one of [[Tribe of Ancients]]' chosen protectors of the [[Pure Heart]]s, and she was therefore aware of the fact that [[Count Bleck]] would eventually attempt at destroying all worlds and dimensions with [[The Void]]. As such, she knew that she had to execute all means to protect her Pure Heart and decided to hand the mission of leading the [[Light Prognosticus]]'s heroes to the [[Whoa Zone]] (where she had hidden the Pure Heart she was in possession of) to her own son, the prince. In doing so, she placed a willing Squirp Korogaline Squirpina into a hibernation pod in which he sent off an "SOS" message for the next 1,500 years as Squirpia crumbled into the past.
