Ok, so personally I think we should just base it completely on the clubs and nothing else, because we don't want people's opinions (like mine) getting in the way. If this is disagreed with, I would highly recommend leaving it white. - 02:52, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

As User:Yoshi876 pointed out, it's good to use colors as this is consistent with other game pages that use similar box-templates for characters.
The other problem was, many of the characters may be represented by the same or very similar colors, even when it comes to using the colors from their golf clubs. And in the case of the golf-clubs, it may end up looking sort've gaudy with the colors being used in the sense of colored text on a colored background, since that's gonna look very different than how the colors look on the characters clubs.
The way it is now is good, I think, but a problem arose when Ninelevendo realized Bowser Bowser Jr. and Mario had very similar red-tones. With characters like Luigi and Yoshi this is fine as they're different enough shades it's not too jarring AND it's just these two characters who happen to both represent green, mainly, but Bowser and Bowser Jr.'s colors were then changed to green, as that's basically the next color they're usually represented with in a sense. But this made for four characters with green. My solution to this was making Bowser's color black and Jr.'s a light shade of the same, just as is represented on their spiked bands, Bowser's emblems from games like Mario Party and Mario Kart, and Bowser's bat in Mario Baseball, and even their golf balls in this game. It looks like this in comparison to the page now: IMAGE LINK So I wanted to see what other people thought. Colors, no colors? Green or black? :When I say change it to the clubs, the links are fine to remain white. So Mario and Luigi would stay the same, and Daisy would have more of a yellow-ish colour, and the Bowsers would have purple. However, if their main colour doesn't seem like a good idea, their secondary colour can be used instead, which, in the case of Bowser, is very similar to the colour he is now. - 03:16, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
::Personally though, I think how it is now is fine, but that's because it has the Bowser Colours my way. I still think Daisy should have that yellower colour, but I can let that slide. - 03:27, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

Character's Shot Trajectory
Character's Shot Trajectory
There's an issue with the descriptions for each character's trajectory right now. Although the game only lists each character's shot trajectory as Straight, Fade, or Draw, depending on the direction, unaccounted for right now is the intensity of the angle the trajectory moves at. This is definitely represented in-game, though, with the color of the arrow signifying the level of the degree. Shot trajectory does have variable degrees in real golf too, but you can see it for east example my comparing the draw of say Daisy to Donkey Kong. His is much farther. The arrows for the trajectory are green, yellow, and orange depending on the level of the trajectory's degree. The problem was coming to an agreement on what words to use to signify these. I tried Light, Medium, and Heavy, as was used in past golf installments like Toadstool Tour, but it was pointed out these were confusing or something. So I'm now wanting suggestions on what would be good to describe this, as every character is different, so this is just as important as what to call the trajectory in the first place. I was thinking Regular, Moderate, Strong, something along those lines. Whatever sounds nicest and makes the most sense. :The reason that these don't make sense is because saying "Strong" fade makes you think that the actual trajectory is a very wide fade, wheras the colour the shot is representing is the height of the shot, Luigi's red meaning "Low". This doesn't have anything to do with the trajectory, instead reflecting how high the shot goes. - 03:05, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
::Are you maybe confusing this with the bar that represents a character's shot height? The two are different, and the colors of the trajectory arrows signify the degree of the shot, not the height, I believe. Like I gave example of, compare Donkey Kong's trajectory curve with Daisy's. UhHuhAlrightDaisy (talk) 03:13, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
:::You may have noticed that the colour of the shot is exactly the same as the height. In Toadstool Tour, the colour was the only way to determine height, same goes here. Or a least I think so. - 03:24, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
::::Oh no- I see what it is! The colors DO match, but the problem was with the changes they made from Toadstool Tour on how it's displayed. Ah-ha, it's a more simple matter after all, and you were basically right about the height, it's just the variance between characters in this game is both less-severe and more specific. I see what to do now, I'll just add an explanation like what you did with the stats being out of 11. Thanks for helping me catch this! ::::No no no- Wait! NOW maybe I know. lol This IS confusing, cause if you look at Toadstool Tour, the characters had either a Hook, Slice, Fade, Draw, or Straight shot, but now I think they either did away with that, or they forgot to show it. THAT'S what I was talking about in the first place though. How do we know now if they still use Slice and Fade, though? UhHuhAlrightDaisy (talk) 15:41, 28 May 2014 (EDT)
Wario doesn't a slice anymore, he has a fade. So characters either have straight, fade, or draw. And with Toadstool Tour, some guy changed it to "heavy fade" because he thought "slice" was unofficial. - 17:25, 28 May 2014 (EDT)

He is also a NPC character in Castle Club, and spinies buzzy beetle Flutter and spiny egg are in wiggler park. Toadbrigade5

Post Hole Animation pictures
This has been bugging me for some time now. We have pictures for post hole animations, which is fine and all, but the problem strikes in the Eagle, Albatross and Hole-in-one section. Since the animations are the same for each score, do we really need the same characters in each section? We have three pictures for Rosalina (as an example, Mario, Luigi and Daisy have the same issue as well) and they are all the same picture with a different word on them. Now this is just my opinion, but I find this unnecessary and to me it looks pointless. Shouldn't we just upload pictures of a handful of different characters for each score instead of uploading basic doubles? And if the argument spreads to other pictures that appear to be identical to others with slight differences (such as shadow/shadowless artwork), that can be applied here as well as being somewhat unnecessary, unless we have a reason for all this.

:I know how you feel.  In order to edit this article and various others, you must become autoconfirmed, meaning you must make 5 edits and have an account for 4 days.  The wait gets very frustrating, but it'll be over before you know it.  I'll see if I can add this info for you.  By the way, your comment counts as one of your five edits. - 16:11, 21 October 2017 (EDT)
::The info has been added.  I might do the same thing with sweet spot and control later. - 16:26, 21 October 2017 (EDT)
:Oh Okay, I'm working on becoming an Autoconfirmed User, but I was curious to know if I can put in the Star/Moon Coin Challenges into the courses. I'm only reading the seeing the information and the thumbnails of each hole, so I'm curious to know if I can add in the Star/Moon coin Challenges into the Courses articles so I can become an Autoconfirmed user. Jigglypuff (talk) 17:09, 21 October 2017 (EDT)
Mind if I add this type of information on the Courses?
Since I'm helping out with the Meters in unit length/distance for each golf course, I've already finished with Wiggler Park, and since the obstacles are also enemies, they have an animation when the golf ball hits them, and I was wondering I can put them in Courses Articles. I have 2 Golf Courses I have for this idea. Jigglypuff (talk) 14:25, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
Golf Ball Hitting Characters (Wiggler Park)
*Goomba (Hole 2), Spiny (Hole 5) look left and right in confusion
*Spike spits out a Spiked ball and throws it (Hole 3)
*Koopa Troopa (Hole 4), and Buzzy Beetle (Hole 8) goes inside their shell.
**Hitting the Shell again, the Koopa Troopa and Buzzy Beetle will come out of their shell
*The Spiny Egg Shakes (Hole 5)
*Piranha Plant wakes up from its slumber and randomly starts biting (Hole 6)
*Monty Mole jumps, then burrows into the ground. (Hole 7)
*Flutter preforms a loop (Hole 9)
Golf Ball Hitting Characters (Bowser's Castle)
Item Sprites
The current item table features .jpg cropped screenshots of the various sprites. As such replacing the files directly would not be simple since the new file extension would be .png. I have checked the image uploading guidelines and noted that the difference between image quality is substantial enough to warrant reupload, but how should I go about this matter? Should I have the current images be pending for deletion while uploading the sprites and new images, or is there a more preferred process? This would also be helpful to know should this happen in the future. 17:45, January 23, 2024 (EST)
:Proper re-rips should be uploaded first, then all of them replaced. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:48, January 23, 2024 (EST)
::Okay, thank you for the input. I'll  be uploading the images promptly. 19:00, January 23, 2024 (EST)
:::Note that Kab-omb is already on there correctly and with the proper 64x64px dimensions. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:03, January 23, 2024 (EST)
