'''Super Troopas''' are a variety of [[Koopa Troopa]]s and elite soldiers in [[Bowser|King Koopa]]'s army. They are larger than standard Koopa Troopas, and much stronger, but are rather dim-witted and somewhat clumsy. Super Troopas are only ever seen during a few select episodes of ''[[The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!]]''.

The first appearance of a Super Troopa is in the episode "[[Mario and Joliet]]", where an individual one named [[Grunt (character)|Grunt]] is employed by King Koopa to trap [[Mario]], [[Luigi]], [[Princess Peach|Princess Toadstool]], [[Toad]] and [[Romano]] in a tower with [[Joliet]]. Grunt is then ordered to keep an eye on the captives, but is interested in lifting weights. Toad and Princess Toadstool use the opportunity to convince Grunt that they had seen stronger Koopa Troopas than him, and ultimately trick him into holding up too many weights. The concentrated weight of Grunt and the weights lead to the floor breaking beneath Grunt's feet, which results in him falling through it.

The second and final appearance of Super Troopas is in "[[Star Koopa]]", were they take on the guise of [[Stormtroopa]]s, along with many Koopa Troopas. They are only seen when Darth Koopa orders his Stormtroopas to invade the [[Flying Pizza]], and fights against Mario's group with [[Lightplunger]]s, but are eventually defeated. It is unknown if any of the Stormtroopas that are later piloting the [[Stormtroopa Starfighter]]s in an attempt to defend [[Koop Star]] are Super Troopas.
